FOREIGN LOANS AS NECESSARY PILLS TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Prince (Dr.) Ned Munir Nwoko, former member, Federal House of Representatives on Friday, 30 August 2019, said foreign loans are necessary pills for achieving infrastructure provision or upgrade and are valuable in the process of augmenting internally generated revenues in developing countries such as Nigeria. Alumni Intervention
It is positive news that alumni of the University of Ibadan (UI) are set to practicalise the idea of giving back with the launch of the UI Alumni Association Trust Fund to raise N100m to assist the institution in research and training, among other things. The National Chairman of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Mr. Femi Emina, said its national executive committee conceived the project to boost its annual donation to the institution, put at N500,000. UI Alumni Association Inaugurates Trust Fund….Targets N100m Per Annum
Worried by the present precarious funding for public tertiary institutions in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) has inaugurated a special Trust Fund with the mandate to raise at least N100million within the next couple of months from past and present graduates from the University, as part of their contributions to the development of their Alma mater.
